Advanced Glass Studio

The course is designed to continue development of your studio practice via * individual studio interactions, * awareness of research in the field, * constructive critique of work, * articulation and presentation of ideas, and * support of a close-knot peer group. We bring particular attention to (for graduating scholars) a body of work that tightens your research to reveal a thesis that is well-demonstrated through the artworks for the professional paths you wish to follow after graduation and (for 3rd year scholars) explosion of research, ideas and experiments to support your practice, via quick exercises to test several methodologies and determine the approaches best suited to you. The course also hold space for collaborative teamwork in the hot shop to create larger, complex objects that require many hands and minds.
