Long, continuous paper sachets, lined with string inside the bottom edge, are filled with spices. Viewers release putts and drizzles of spice, drawings of these powders, their colour and their smells, into the gallery. Particles are tracked by footsteps into the streets.

Turmeric cocoa rain and drink

,

A “sheet” of powder rains down gently for one minute every fifteen minutes based on viewer presence. The particles of this rain transition gradually from cocoa powder at one end to turmeric at the other end.
A social drink was prepared at the installation venue so that participants ingest the materials of the installation.

Terra merita series

Installed into the wall of a long corridor, an invisible amount of Turmeric spice in powder form sifts down to the floor of the niche each time a person walks by, over a period of 1 week. The installation culminates with the digital projection of a Puffy glass sculpture into the niche’s glowing yellow landscape. A print-object transpires from a photograph of the installation.
